The communal house in Viet Nam is traditionally the soul of the
community, thus thoughtful preservation of these old houses is essential
to keeping traditional cultural values alive and well.
The new Tourism Information Centre of Phuoc Tich Village, a destination
in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, has now been completed and is
open to serve visitors, thanks to the support of the Japan
International Co-operation Agency (JICA).
Tourists to the ancient capital of Hue will have the
chance to enjoy the real life of the old city rather than just viewing
relics or landscape as they usually do.
